JAPAN STUDIES ASSOCIATION JOURNAL - Volume 29 (2026)
Letter from the Editors
Aloha! The Japan Studies Association is proud to present this exciting new volume of the journal following our prolonged hiatus. The journal has been a key part of the JSA since 1997 and next year we will celebrate its thirtieth year.
This "welcome back" volume presents a variety of articles on a wide range of topics related to Japanese studies, from ecology to film to politics. It also includes work related to the JSA's 2024 workshop in Hokkaido and work first presented at our annual conference in Hawai'i. We hope you enjoy these peer-reviewed selections and look forward to your future submissions.
