Accommodation 2016 JSA Conference
The Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach Hotel

JSA has negotiated a block of 25 standard guestrooms at a special rate for the conference participants. For single or double occupancy (one king or two queen beds), the room rate is $169 plus tax. To add a third person costs an additional $30 per night plus tax. Check-in time is 3pm; check-out time is 11am. The accommodation rate for those staying at the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach Hotel includes free wi-fi and high-speed DSL internet access and buffet breakfast. For full guestroom amenities, see:http://www.hyattplacewaikikibeach.com/amenities.htm.

Reservations are to be made by calling the Hotel's reservations department at +1-888-421-1442, or locally at +1-808-931-4333. Participants must identify themselves as part of the Japan Studies Association Annual Conference group. A room reservation must be guaranteed by a credit card.

Reservations must be made by December 6, 2015, at the very latest. After that the room block will be released (regular rates at that time of year exceed $300 per night). JSA cannot guarantee room availability of the conference accommodation rate after December 6.

Budget Accommodation for Graduate Students and Part-time Faculty

Thanks to Joe Overton, JSA President, graduate students and part-time faculty can book budget accommodation at the East-West Center, on the campus of the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. The Hale Manoa and Hale Kuahine dorms are $32 per night, while the dorms at Lincoln Hall are $56 per night. All dorm rooms are single occupancy. To make a reservation, please call, fax or e-mail EWC Housing and identify yourself as a presenter at the Japan Studies Association Conference:
