Conference Registration and Payment

Twenty-fifth Anniversary Japan Studies Association Conference
3-5 January 2019, Honolulu, Hawai'i


Registration deadlines:
Regular registration opens on 24 September and closes on 31 October 2018.
Late registration opens on 01 November and closes on 02 December 2018.
It is also possible to register on site at the late registration rates below. Please let us know if you intend to do so.
Registration refund deadline is 02 December 2018.

Regular registration
Full-time faculty / independent scholars: $250
Part-time faculty/adjuncts: $150

Graduate students: $150
Retirees: $150

Late registration
Full-time faculty / independent scholars: $300
Part-time faculty/adjuncts: $200

Graduate students: $200
Retirees: $200

Payment

If the registration payment needs to be processed by an administrative assistant at a presenter's department or administrative unit, please ask the person making the payment to enter the presenter's name below. This will allow JSA's Treasurer to match the payment with the presenter.

Please note:

1. The registration fee includes:
  • JSA membership fee of $40 for 2019
  • Access to the Japan Studies Association Journal
  • Morning and afternoon tea/coffee breaks during the conference
  • Lunch on Friday and Saturday and
  • Conference dinner on Friday evening.

2. In order to participate, all presenters at the 2019 JSA conference must complete the registration form and complete the registration fee by the December 02 deadline. 

3. If you need to make a payment by check (US only), please complete the registration form using the above link and forward your payment to the address provided at the very bottom of the form.

4. For those JSA members who cannot attend the 2019 conference, please consider supporting the Association by renewing your membership. In addition to receiving a copy of the Japan Studies Association Journal, you will also continue to receive regular updates about upcoming JSA workshops, conferences and other events. To renew your membership, please go to the Members page. Remember to include your official title along with your department and institution.
