Otani University

 The origin of Otani University goes back to 1665, when the Higashi Hoganji temple established a seminary in Kyoto as a center for the study of Mahayana Buddhism. Today this university consists of the Faculty of Letters (Comprising 8 departments), Graduate School, and Junior College, with a current enrollment of approximately 4,500 students.

Hotel:
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Via Inn, in central Kyoto, close to restaurants, cultural sites, and the subway line. These will be single occupancy rooms with complimentary breakfast and internet. Please plan to arrive by the evening of June, 22, 2014. Contingent upon Japan Foundation funding, the cost is covered for selected participants.
